Teacher Productivity
For this exercise, I visited my old community college's faculty directory to find the instructor page of one of my old professors. I found it quite difficult to find anything quite as detailed as the screenshot below on the high school level. I think that's because of the sheer amount of information that secondary schools have to insert in their websites under the districts rules. Here, there is the professor's contact information, as well as the classes that they are signed up to teach for the next few semesters. At the bottom of the page, there are also different relevant pieces of information, such as certifications, degrees, and so on.
I have a personal passion about technology. Whenever I envision my future classroom, I always see myself trying to use technology to the best of my ability without alienating students. I would use communication software like Edmodo and Remind to keep my students up to date, and encourage my students to come up with creative ways to use technology to complete their assignments.
By far the most exciting piece of tech that I used at the sandbox was the virtual reality game systems. Now, I'm thinking far into the future here, but hopefully soon there will be the resources available for all schools to have at least a few VR "stations" set up for students to use. The immersion that VR provides could be groundbreaking in STEM fields like engineering and other fields like architecture, and even art. I for one am super excited to see how this level of technology is implemented in schools in the future.
