Technology Integration

TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION ELA Standards I feel that with my current understanding of English Language Arts, I would definitely be comfortable teaching grades 6-12 literature comprehension. It's already one of my favorite passions! However, even though I don't particularly expect to teach young children, I would like to be more aware and receive more knowledge on teaching reading comprehension to grades K-5. Love for literature begins early after all! CPALMS I think that the CPALMS Tool-kits are quite interesting! There's nothing quite like having a hub for all these useful resources that not just Florida educators, but worldwide educators can use as well. Personally, I would use the "Exploring Comma Uses" module for grades 9-12. I think that many people, not just students, struggle with comma placement and purpose. What influences teachers and students to use technology in the classroom? Teachers and students use technology in the classroom as a means to facilitate learning. What does that mean, though? Well, it could be something as simple as a chalkboard, or a desk designed for left-handed students. It could also be something as complex as a virtual reality classroom, where students wouldn't even have to leave their own homes to participate in a learning environment. Basically, students and teachers are drawn to and use technologies to make learning and disseminating information more accessible. ISTE Standards An ISTE standard that is meaningful to me would definitely have to be Digital Citizenry for students. I spend a lot of time online, whether for academic, professional, or personal purposes.
